Bintan Island or Negeri Segantang Lada is an island in the Riau archipelago of Indonesia. It is part of the Riau Islands province, the capital of which, Tanjung Pinang, lies in the island's south and is the island's main community. 

Bintan's land area is 1,173 square kilometres (453 sq. mi) (total area is 60,057 square kilometres (23,188 sq mi) including 96% sea area).[5] Its administrative region is designated the Bintan Regency, one of the six administrative regencies of the Riau Islands province. The city of Tanjung Pinang is an autonomous area geographically within Bintan Island but not included in the Regency Bintan exuberates a very vivid pleasant exotic scenic beauty with the best of cleanliness.

Being in close proximity to Singapore, it’s economy thrives on the tourist from Singapore . Bintan gets very lively during the long weekends in Singapore as people flock to sailing to this island where one can unwind and relax the weekend.  The Eco farms have a high bio diversity with a rich fauna well maintained with species from all over the world . One of the highlight of this visit is the Mangrove trip which is a boat sailing where we get to see various types of Mango trees with 4 different type of forests . An experience of sailing amidst the forests of the Mangrove can be exciting and a close embrace with nature . One would be lucky to spot a few reptiles or animals on this wild mangrove forests . 

Not the least but the seacoast of the south China sea is extremely clean with pristine beaches of white sand. The people of Bintan are lovely, very courteous and humble and projecting a harmonious nature of life.
